I am an idealist. I cherish and pursue high and noble principles, purposes and goals. I seek to represent situations, organisations and individuals as they might or should be, whilst acknowledging where they currently are. I might not fall into the Henry Ford’s description of an idealist as “a person who helps other people to be prosperous”, but I am a person who works with others to enable them to be successful.

I am an experienced manager who develops and repositions organisations and partnerships; a strategic leader who enjoys challenging the status quo to enable organisations to own their vision, achieve their mission, live by their values and be successful. In 2005 I was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts in recognition of services to the voluntary sector.

I can work with you to:

  • Support your Board to be effective in their governance role
  • Develop your business plan so that you actively and measurably work towards achieving the changes you want to see in the world
  • Turn your ideas into actions
  • Facilitate engagement with your beneficiaries and stakeholders
  • Help you to think

Benjamin Franklin said “tell me and I’ll forget, show me and I might remember, involve me and I will understand”. My style is to work with you, to engage you, to seek to ensure in all I do I enable you to develop and shine.
